An apparatus and a method for culturing algae using a fuel cell of microorganism is provided to culture algae using carbon dioxide, maximize the algae culture by irradiating and automatically discharge the algae without a separate collection device. An apparatus (100) for culturing algae using a fuel cell of microorganism comprises: a negative electrode (110) which generates voltage bias with a positive electrode (120) by collecting hydrogen ion and electronic by oxidation of active microorganism; the positive electrode which helps the culture of algae by carbon dioxide received through ion exchange film (20); a main body (130) having discharging port (30) at the lower part of positive electrode; and a light emitting unit (140) which irradiates light.
