MULTIPURPOSE TV CONVERTER SYSTEM

A multipurpose TV converter system is provided to enable a receiver to set up an address in his/her converter by adding a unit for enabling the receiver to set up the address in an IC card or a separate IC module to a DA(Digital to Analog) converter. A TV signal output unit is comprised of an analog TV signal output terminal and a digital TV signal output terminal. A separating unit(103) classifies an address signal, an instruction signal and an information signal. The separated signals are signals which a host computer of a TV broadcasting station inserts into a digital TV and transmits. A detachable memory unit(106) stores the separated information signal.
