ICE MAKING ASSEMBLY FOR A REFRIGERATOR AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING AN OVERFLOW THEREIN

An ice-making assembly for a refrigerator and a water overflow preventing method of the same are provided to minimize the unnecessary power consumption by sensing the water supply failure. An ice-making assembly for a refrigerator comprises a tray(21), a plurality of pins, a plurality of rod(23), a water level sensor. The tray comprises a water supply part and a plurality of ice grooves. The pins are located to the upper side of the tray. A plurality of rods passes through a plurality of pins and inserted into the ice grooves. When the ice-making is completed, a plurality of rods is tilted with the pins into one body. The water level sensor is located at one of the ice grooves. The water level sensor comprises a ground electrode, a middle level electrode, and a full level electrode. The middle level electrode senses the middle water level and the full level electrode senses the full water level.
