USE OF EGFR TYROSINE KINASE INHIBITOR FOR PREVENTING BREAST CANCER

An EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor is used in the manufacture of a medicament for use in (a) reducing the trans- formation of epithelial cells from a normal to a malignant state in an invasive breast cancer free human; and/or (b) reducing the transformation of epithelial cells from an intermediate state, between norma l epithelium and malignant invasive epithelium, to a malignant state in an invasive breast cancer free human; and/or (c) causing substantial reversion of epithelial tissue back to a normal state from an intermediate state between normal epithelium and malignant invasive epithelium.
