In a preferred embodiment, a portable display (20) is formed of a plurality of assembleable panels (22), each of panels (22) having a plurality of edge portions (164) secured together with corner connectors (176) to form a rectangular framework (160). Panelar sheet material (210) extends over two sides of the framework (160) and polyurethane foam is injected into the interior space. Panel connector portions (140), either of the sliding type, or the peg or plug-in type secure the panels (22) together to form the display. In a preferred embodiment, each panel (22) has four corners each with corner components (176) that engage with the edge portions (164), preferably by insertion into receiving openings (182) in said edge portions (164). Said corner components (176) have a receptacle exposed at each corner to permit either connection with plug-in components, for example, panel connectors (14 0) for vertical stacking of panels (22) or accessory brackets.
