A biosynthesis method of epirubicin which is an anthracycline system anticancer drug is provided to synthesize anticancer material having low side effect and high anticancer activation comparing a doxorubicin. An epirubicin is a 7-O-D-olivosyl epsilon-rhodomycinone of the structural formula 3, 7-O-L-3'-N-methyl daunosaminyl epsilon-rhodomycinone of the structural formula 4, and 7-O-epi-L-vancosaminyl epsilon-rhodomycinone of the structural formula 5. A method for synthesizing an epi rhodomycin D comprises: a step of losing biosynthetase of desosamine and synthesis gene cluster PKS coding a pikromycin (Pik); a step of transforming Streptomyces venezuelae YJ 183 with recombination vector pYJ371, pYJ630, pYJ631 or pYJ627 in which drrA-drrB and drrC are inserted; and a step of culturing the transformed microorganism with epsilon-rhodomycinone. |
