A manufacturing method of a borohydride compound is provided to form the borohydride compound from boron - containing salt with an efficient and economical method. A manufacturing method of a borohydride compound includes a step for mixing a compound including boron and oxygen and adduct of lewis base and alane. The lewis base is selected from a group consisting of amine, tertiary phosphine, thioether and ether. The compound including the boron and the oxygen is the compound having at least one or more oxygen atom per boron atom. The borohydride compound is sodium borohydride. The Lewis base is amine.
