YEAST-IMMOBILIZED POLYMER PACKING MATERIALS FOR THE REMOVAL OF ODOR AND VOC, AND ITS OPERATING METHOD

A microorganism immobilization carrier, a manufacturing method thereof, and a bio filter using the same are provided to maximize reduction effect of a biological and volatile organic compound, and to minimize degradation of processing efficiency by improving durability of the carrier. A microorganism immobilization carrier includes a compound consisting of polyethylene glycol, alginate, activated carbon powder. The microorganism including yeast is immobilized by a polymer material. The yeast is Candida tropicalis. A weight ratio of the polyethylene glycol, the alginate, and the activated carbon powder is 15 ~ 20 : 0.5 ~ 2.0 : 0.5 ~ 2.0. A manufacturing method of the carrier includes the following steps of: concentrating and cultivating the microorganism including the yeast; mixing the polymer materials; immobilizing the microorganism on the polymer materials; and molding a polymer in which microorganism is fixed.
