An image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a computer readable medium are provided to produce an electronic document reproducing the character color when copying character code in electronic document. A character color decision process module(110) determines the character color as the character information based on the object letter color of the color image inside. A font registration process module(120) assigns the font corresponding to the character code of the character information inside. The font registration process module delivers the allocated font information to the font reclamation processing module(140). A character processing technology module(130) adds the character information to the color image. The font reclamation processing module produces the electronic document referring to the font information allocated with the verbal description process module.
