A method for predicting a color prescription by using a computer ager is provided to easily obtain the pigment combination and mixing ratio which can be immediately applied to the spot production in the high precision in a dyeing process where stainability difference between a laboratory and the field is generated. A dyed sample is prepared(S11). Spectrum data in unit density of an original color coloring matter is obtained by measuring the spectral reflectance of the sample(S12). By using a spectrophotometer, the reflectivity or K/S-curve of a target color is obtained(S13). The pigment combination and prescription for obtaining the target color are calculated by using the spectrum data in unit density of the original color coloring matter(S14). A plurality of pigment combinations and prescription are suggested within the color difference which allows the calculated pigment combination and prescription(S15). The difference between color data of the predicted prescription and the color variable of the target color, and the dyeing attribute of predicted prescription are displayed together with the prescription result(S16). |
