ACTUATOR LATCH SYSTEM FOR HARD DISK DRIVE

An actuator latch system of an HDD(Hard Disk Drive) is provided to prevent the malfunction of the HDD that the notch of the swing arm hangs on the hook of the latch lever, by rotating the latch lever clockwise using the electromagnetic force of the VCM(Voice Coil Motor). An actuator latch system of an HDD comprises a notch(152) formed on the back end of a swing arm(132), a latch lever(160) which is installed on a base member to rotate and has a hook(162) interfering with the notch to restrict unidirectional rotation of the swing arm, an extension coil part(153) which extends from the VCM coil to activate the latch lever, and a magnetic member(163) which is installed on the tip of the latch lever to face the extension coil part. When the HDD is operated, the top of the latch lever is opened by the electromagnetic force by the current of the extension coil part and the magnetic field of the magnetic member.
