A method for isolating a flavonoid is provided to treat and prevent circulatory system diseases and use for medicinal pharmaceutical products. A method for isolating a flavonoid from Sageretia theezans comprises: a first step (S10) of extracting the Sageretia theezans using 60% acetone water solution; a second step (S20) of separating hexane, ethylacetate, buthanol, and water; and a third step (S30) of eruting ethylacetate fraction and irradiating with thin layer chromatography (TLC) to obtain a novel flavonoid, 7-O-methylan citrin.
