A wellbore fluid having at least two phases, including a fluid phase and a solid phase. The solid phase is a powdered solid material coated with a polymer that is the reaction product of a polyether amine and a dialdehyde crosslinking agent. A method of modifying the surface of a powdered solid material, the method comprising contacting the powdered solid material with a solution including a polyether amine reacting the polyether amine compound with a dialdehyde crosslinking agent. Polymer coated solids for use in a wellbore fluid comprising a powdered solid material a polymer coating on the surface of the solid material, wherein the polymer is the reaction product of a polyether amine and a dialdehyde crosslinking agent. |
