Novel phenanthridine analogues and their uses as inhibitors of hyperproliferation of T cells and/or keratinocytes

Disclosed are compounds of formula II, wherein X is C-R8, R19 is a polycyclic aromatic ring system, heteroaryl or cycloalkyl, and the remaining substituents are as defined in the specification. The compounds are useful in the treatment or prevention of diseases characterized by hyperproliferation of keratinocytes and/or T cells, such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, actinic keratoses, hyperkeratoses like epidermolytic hyperkeratosis, hyperkeratosis lenticularis perstans, keratosis pilaris and ichthyoses.
