<p>An ink cartridge is disclosed that is detachably mountable on a printing apparatus having a print head and an ink supply needle communicating with the print head. The ink cartridge comprises an ink body for containing ink therein which has a bottom wall, a first wall adjacent to the bottom wall, a second wall disposed opposite to the first wall, and a third wall which intersects with the first and second walls and a fourth wall disposed opposite to the third wall. The ink cartridge comprises an ink supply section having an ink supply opening formed on the bottom wall at a position closer to the first wall than the second wall for allowing the ink supply needle to be inserted, and a memory comprising a contact terminal member disposed on the second wall at a position closer to the third wall than the fourth wall.</p> |
