A group of inventions relates to pharmaceutical compositions and medical preparations based on menthol solution in menthyl ether of isovaleric acid which exhibit mainly sedative and cardiologic action and can be used for the treatment of diseases associated with disorders of cardio-vascular and nervous systems, in particular such as hypertension, neuroses, neurasthenea and the like. Said composition and preparation comprises menthol solution in menthyl ether of isovaleric acid, and also an extract of motherwort and/or hawthorn with ratio 3 : (1-10) between said solution and the extract.
