The invention relates to a seal (10) for gas-tight connection of two elements (12) of a fuel cell stack, having an electrically non-conductive spacing component (16) and having at least one soldered component (18) which is solid or viscous over its entire extent at the operating temperature of the fuel cell stack and couples the spacing component (16) to at least one of the elements of the fuel cell stack to be connected, in a gas-tight manner. The invention provides for the spacing component (16) to be composed of ceramic.
