An oxygen generator is provided to reduce manufacturing cost, and to offer harmless effects without using KOH which is a harmful material, used for generating oxygen, and installation of a peripheral device. An oxygen generator(100) comprises an outer case(102), a water container(104), a water electrolysis unit(106), and a power supply unit(108). The water container includes a hole(112) and a cap(110). The hole supplies water. The oxygen is exhausted through the hole. An electrocatalyst of the electro chemistry unit cell is formed on an ion exchanging film. The ion exchanging film is selected from a strong acidity group of a fluorocarbon-based polymer.
