<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter apparatus which can start by precisely estimating the position of a magnet rotor, regardless of the temperature of a motor at the time of startup. <P>SOLUTION: When positioning the magnet rotor of a motor for outputting DC current from an inverter circuit to the motor prior to operation of the motor, a resistance value of the stator winding of the motor is calculated based on the current value detected with a current sensor. During startup operation of the motor, the position of the magnet rotor is estimated based on at least the current value detected with the current sensor and the resistance value of the stator winding calculated at positioning. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
