PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the usability of network connection. SOLUTION: A communication device that uses an access point function and a station function comprises a determination means for determining whether to construct a network newly when the device operates by using the station function and a setting means for setting a character string configuring an identifier of a new network that is constructed when it is determined that the new network is constructed and the operation of the device moves to the operation that uses the access point function. The setting means sets the character string configuring the identifier of the new network so as to include the character string configuring the identifier of the network in which the device operates by using the station function.
