A printer is provided having a media tray, a printhead, and a delivery passage extending from a base of the printer to the printhead past the media tray via which media is supplied from the media tray to the printhead. The base is configured to be received in a recessed region of an upper surface of a first auxiliary media tray in a nested arrangement. The base has a first opening for delivering first auxiliary media supplied by the first auxiliary tray into the delivery passage. A lower surface of the first auxiliary tray is configured to be received in a recessed region of an upper surface of a second auxiliary media tray in a nested arrangement. The lower surface has a second opening for delivering second auxiliary media supplied by the second auxiliary tray into the delivery passage via an auxiliary delivery passage of the first auxiliary tray. |
