PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING PARTIAL DISCHARGE-RESISTANT RESIN COMPOSITION, PARTIAL DISCHARGE-RESISTANT RESIN COMPOSITION, PARTIAL DISCHARGE-RESISTANT INSULATION MATERIAL, AND PARTIAL DISCHARGE-RESISTANT INSULATOR STRUCTURE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a partial discharge-resistant resin composition having an excellent partial discharge resistance and a low density in a simple and easy way. SOLUTION: A layered clay mineral is given swelling ability to at least either of a polar solvent or a non-polar solvent by inserting an organic compound among the layers of the layered clay mineral. The layered clay mineral having the given swelling ability is swollen in a solvent for swelling including a polar solvent or a non-polar solvent, mixed with an epoxy resin, and kneaded. The solvent for swelling is removed from the resulting mixture containing the epoxy resin, the layered clay mineral and the solvent for swelling. A hardener for epoxy resins is added to and mixed with the mixture of the containing the epoxy resin and the layered clay mineral. In the thus manufactured partial discharge-resistant insulation material composed of the hardened product of the partial discharge-resistant resin composition, inorganic nano-particles 2 composed of the layered clay mineral are densely and evenly dispersed in molecular chains 1 of the epoxy resin having a three dimensional network structure.
