摘要 <p>Conventional optical signal processors have had such a problem that the performance of the optical signal processor deteriorates due to temperature since the spectroscopic property of a spectroscopic element is dependent on temperature. To resolve the problem of temperature dependency, there has been a method available to form a plurality of grooves for splitting a core on an array waveguide of an AWG, however, these has been unavoidable excess loss. Such method has required extra complicated steps for AWG manufacture for forming the grooves along with high manufacturing cost. A method including a movable mechanism in an optics system also has had a problem that the configuration of an optics system becomes complicated. Direct control of the modulation property profile formed by component elements on a spatial modulation element ensures to achieve the temperature independency by an easier and lower-cost method. Such method significantly reduces the optical coupling loss in a spatial optics system on the optical signal processor. The method can realize more reliable temperature compensation corresponding to the behavior over temperature of an actual processor, including complicated temperature variation factors of the optics system.</p>
