PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which is configured so as to develop compressed image data in a page buffer memory to synthesize and output the image data and allows memory capacity to be reduced more than in the conventional image processor for segmenting expanded image data after once developing the image data to synthesize and output the image data. SOLUTION: The processor performs output processing for synthesizing a plurality of images as an image of one page and is provided with an inputting means, compression processing means, storing means, decompressing means, page buffer memory 50, calculating means and control means, when the decompressing means 40 decompresses compressed data CD from the storing means 30 to image data, the control means segments the image data for the portion of image data corresponding to an image to be output and decompresses the image data, then performs development processing for developing decompressed image data OD to a corresponding synthesis position of the page buffer memory 50 a plurality of times.
