PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system, an information processor, a communication method, and a program for achieving multiplexing of an access path even when there is only one access path from an information processor to a disk array device. SOLUTION: This network system includes: a disk array device equipped with at least one logical unit and at least two information processors. The information processor includes: a first communication means for directly communicating with the disk array; a second communication means for communicating with the other information processor through a network; and an auxiliary access path mechanism for performing access through the other information processor to the disk array device by using the second communication means when access through the first communication means to the disk array device fails.
