The object aims to inhibit the transcriptional activity of the TCF/LEF family to prevent or treat cancer. Disclosed is a method for the screening of an anti-cancer agent, which is characterized by selecting a compound capable of inhibiting the kinase activity of TNIK (TRAF2 and NCK interacting kinase) or selecting a compound capable of inhibiting the binding between TNIK and a ß-catenin/TCF4 transcription complex.
