<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the unevenness of light rays illuminating the display range of a liquid crystal. <P>SOLUTION: The projector is provided with a solid-state light emitting element 1231 which outputs light rays; a projection image forming unit 122 for forming a projection image; and a reflecting member 125 arranged between the solid-state light emitting element 1231 and the projection image forming unit 122. At least a part of the reflecting member 125 is formed into a shape corresponding to the effective region 122A of the projection image forming unit 122 and the reflecting member 125 reflects light rays not entering the effective region 122A, to return the light rays to the solid-state light emitting element 1231 and makes the light rays returned to the solid-state light emitting element 1231 incident on the effective region 122A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
