<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing the recovery for jamming or the like by one action without upsizing the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an intermediate transfer belt 15 carrying a toner image; a secondary transfer device 60 secondarily transferring the toner image on the intermediate transfer belt 15 to a transfer paper; a charge removing needle 71 for removing the charges of the rear surface of the transfer paper after the secondary transfer, to make separation from the intermediate transfer belt 15 easy; and a fixing device 29 fixing toner transferred to the transfer paper thereon. The secondary transfer device 60 is made away from an intermediate transfer body by the rotation of an adjacent side plate 51 and rotated according to the side plate. The charge removing needle 71 is provided in a guide member 70 guiding the rear surface side of the transfer paper and the guide member 70 is rotatably attached to the secondary transfer device 60 and climbed over the fixing device 29 in such a manner that the guide member 70 butts against the fixing device 29 and is rotated, when the side plate 51 is opened and closed, to be rotated together with the secondary transfer device 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
