PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging element mounting unit which prevents the deformation of a mounting plate for an imaging element. SOLUTION: The imaging element mounting unit includes: the mounting plate on which the imaging element is mounted; a circuit board disposed while spacing its surface opposed to the mounting plate away from each other; a through-hole provided in at least one of the mounting plate and the circuit board and penetrating from a surface opposed to other of the mounting plate and the circuit board to a surface opposite to the opposed surface; and a grounding component connecting the mounting plate and the circuit board via the through-hole for grounding the mounting plate.
