PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an adverse influence of simultaneous contrasting on display with simple constitution when an image is displayed using four-color image data including white. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device (100) includes a display means (30) for performing display using display images each comprising four sub-pixels including white, an adjusting means (6121, 6122) for adjusting lightness of one pixel (AG5) when the difference between the lightness of the one pixel (AG5) and lightness of other pixels (AG1 to AG4, AG6 to AG9) disposed at the periphery of the one pixel is larger than a predetermined threshold, and a converting means (6123) for converting three-color image data whose lightness is adjusted into four-color image data.
