PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling unit, keeping the temperature in an electric component chamber to a low temperature even if the interior temperature is high to continue the cooling operation by operating a cooling unit while cooling an inverter circuit in the electric component chamber. SOLUTION: A compressor 7, a condenser 8 and an evaporator 11 are connected to one another to form a refrigerating cycle 6, the evaporator is housed in a cooling chamber 19 formed of heat insulating wall bodies 17, 18 and having a cooling fan 20, a blowoff air duct 30 for the cold air and a return air duct 28, and the compressor and the condenser are disposed in a machine room 5. The electric component chamber 35 housing electric components such as a circuit board 37 is disposed at the uppermost part of the body, and some of the cold air flowing through the blowoff air duct in the cooling chamber 19 is introduced into the electric component chamber.
