PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide front and back side paper for corrugated cardboard sheet which has enough strength for conveyance of contents and lamination suitability for corrugating medium paper, to which simple printing can be given, and which has reduced dust generation. SOLUTION: The front and back side paper for corrugated cardboard sheet is formed by applying and drying a coating-liquid of water-soluble polymer to the front and back sides of base paper formed of raw material pulp containing wastepaper pulp, which is made to have a unit weight of 80-185 g/m<SP>2</SP>and density of 0.50-0.70 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. A modified starch with a molecular weight of less than 3000,000 is used as a main component of the water-soluble polymer, and Dennison wax number defined in JIS-P8129 (1997) is made to be 13A or more.
