PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic member used in a carburizing atmosphere, whose surface has a sprayed coating formed thereon, improving the wear resistance and seizure resistance of the metallic member and also having excellent carburizing resistance. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a metallic member whose surface is provided with a sprayed coating 2 as a top coat composed of an alloy comprising one or more kinds of carbides selected from a Cr carbide, a W carbide and a Ti carbide by 30 to 95 mass%, and the balance one or more kinds selected from Ni, Co and Fe with inevitable impurities.
