PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust gate cut height at valve closing time, a flow rate, etc. at the valve opening time in a valve gate for opening and closing the valve by going and returning operations of a driving means, alternatively, to prevent internal pressure from being raised by suddenly compressing material in a valve gate tip interior at the closing operation time, and, further, to prevent the damage of a driving part in case that the valve cannot be normally operated. SOLUTION: An electric driving means is used as driving means of a valve body 41. In a structure that the valve body 41 is vertically operated by the drive of a motor driven cylinder 121 to open and close a gate hole 15, the closing position, the opening position of the valve can be adjusted by positioning the advanced and returned positions of a motor driven cylinder rod 125. Alternatively, the operating speed and a thrust at each operating position can be controlled. Further, the overload of the valve is detected, and the drive can be stopped.
