PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking plier enabling a large torque act on both of a U-shaped end part and a U-shaped part of a torsion bar. SOLUTION: This locking plier is constituted by locking a stub shaft 44 pivoted on an operation lever 43 while being opened, by an adjusting bolt 45 provided in a plier body 41, setting a distance between a movable side clamping face of a swinging body 42 and a fixed side clamping face of the plier body 41 being apart from each other, and causing boosting action to closingly move the movable side clamping face of the swinging body 42 to the fixed side clamping face of the plier body 41 when closing the operation lever 43. A block 47 is provided protrudedly and integrally with a side face part of a fixed jaw part of the plier body 41, and a U-shaped groove 46a having the direction of groove agreeing with the longitudinal direction of the plier body 41 is provided in the front face of a block 46 in the direction of protrusion. This locking plier has a square protruding part 48 protruding forward in the longitudinal direction of the plier body 41 from a rear surface part of the fixed jaw part of the plier body 41.
