PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for supplying a desulfurizing agent into molten iron, with which the additional yield of the fine granular desulfurizing agent can be improved as compared with the conventional method at a low cost with only small scale reconstruction of facilities. SOLUTION: The apparatus, for supplying the desulfurizing agent into the molten iron provided with the conveying and charging route of the desulfurizing agent added by the natural dropping into the molten iron held in a ladle provided with a rotary impeller, is improved. As regards its content, a supplying tube for the desulfurizing agent is branched in the middle of the conveying route, and a distribution means forming another conveying route is arranged, and also a top-blowing lance for spraying the desulfurizing agent onto the molten iron via the branched supplying tube is additionally arranged at the upper part of the ladle.
