FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biometric systems and methods of identifying people from face features and, particularly to systems and methods of recording biometric data of faces. The technical outcome is achieved due to that, the system for recording two-dimensional face images contains a PIN number reading unit, PIN number decoding unit, memory unit, display, unit for reading face images, processor module, interconnected with the given units and is connected through one of its outputs to an additional lighting unit. The unit for reading face images, made in form of a device for reading three-dimensional images, unit for analysing quality of three-dimensional face images, unit for generating two-dimensional face images and unit for compressing two-dimensional face images are interconnected with the processor module.
