<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To indicate to a user a judgement whether a separated and stored object is suitable for recycling in an image-processing device such as a composite copying device. <P>SOLUTION: A bitmap image is decompressed and an object is divided (S2901, 02). In S2904, the values of the objects are determined by also making use of a result of image recognition (image dispersion, S/N, edge characteristics quantity and so on) in S2903. The objects, which are determined to be worthwhile to recycling, are subjected to different kinds of processing which conform to the kinds of the objects (S803, 4, 5, 8), and meta data are given to them (S806).
