<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance acceleration performance of a vehicle, even when having no excessive torque exceeding a driving torque of main driving wheels. <P>SOLUTION: A torque converter 7a is locked up when total vehicle driving torque is determined to be not insufficient, i.e. at a normal time, and the torque converter 7a is released from the lock-up when the total vehicle driving torque is determined to be insufficient. The output of an engine 1 is thereby amplified by the torque converter 7a, to increase the driving torques of front wheels 9FL, 9FR, by releasing the lock-up of the torque converter 7a, when the total vehicle driving torque is insufficient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
