PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique about a heat-conductive resin having excellent heat radiating properties.

SOLUTION: The method for producing a heat-conductive resin composition comprises: a first step of producing a precursor (C) of the heat-conductive resin composition, which precursor has ≤1 W/m×K heat conductivity when kneaded uniformly and comprises a thermoplastic resin (A) of 80-99.9 parts weight and a heat-conductive cross-linking material (B) of 0.1-20 parts weight, which has ≤10 μm average particle size and ≥1 W/m×K heat conductivity; and a second step of kneading the precursor (C) of 5-20 parts weight with a heat-conductive filler (D) of 80-95 parts weight, which has ≤150 μm maximum particle size and ≥1 W/m×K heat conductivity to produce the heat-conductive resin composition.
