PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC power supply unit having an output line for power supply, capable of current detection for overcurrent protection even without a current detection resistor and thus reduction in resistance loss for conversion efficiency. SOLUTION: The DC power supply unit includes: a transformer (T1) for voltage conversion; a pair of output lines (L1, L2) for transmitting power induced at a secondary winding of the transformer; and a control circuit (14) for controlling a current of a primary winding of the transformer. The DC power supply unit further includes a detection circuit (13) for detecting a voltage drop amount generated at a resistance component of one of the pair of output lines.
