PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door handle fixing structure which facilitates manufacturing and mounting of a backlash prevention means (spring member for preventing backlash of a handle), and is low in cost. SOLUTION: The door handle fixing structure is formed of: a seat forming member rigidly mounted on a wall surface of a door; the handle having a neck portion thereof fitted into a fitting hole formed in the seat forming member; a square shaft inserted into a handle shaft mounting hole; and a fixture for connecting the square shaft and the handle together in one body. Herein the handle neck portion has flat surfaces formed on a peripheral surface thereof, and the seat forming member has handle backlash preventing spring members arranged thereon in a manner slightly squeezing out to the fitting hole formed in the seat forming member. Thus when the handle neck portion is fitted into the fitting hole formed in the seat forming member, squeezing-out portions of the spring members make press contact with the flat surfaces of the neck portion.
