PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire excellent in road noise reduction and operation stability while reducing weight of the tire as compared with a conventional pneumatic tire. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is provided with a reinforcement carcass layer in addition to a carcass layer. The reinforcement carcass layer has: a starting end at an area between the carcass layer and an inner belt layer on a tire central side more than an end of the inner belt layer; and a terminal end near a bead core passing through a tire outer side of a bead filler of a bead part without folding back a periphery of a bead core. Further, thickness of an insulation rubber between a cord of the inner belt layer and a cord of the outer belt layer is thicker than 0.6 mm and is thinner than 1.3 mm. Alternatively, thickness of the insulation rubber surrounding the cord of the belt layer between an outer edge part of the outer belt layer and an inner edge part of the inner belt layer is thicker than 0.6 mm and is thinner than 1.3 mm.
