PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition with excellent heat decomposability which is best-suited for manufacturing an original printing plate and a printing plate with an excellent suppressing effect on the generation of tailings during laser carving. SOLUTION: The resin composition for a laser carved original printing plate includes a resin (a) which includes a siloxane bond in the side chain, and includes a number-average molecular weight of not less than 500 to not more than 300,000.
