<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for allowing endothelial progenitor cells (EPC) to grow, to provide a method for purifying blood, which is kind to vessels, and also to provide a blood purifying device which is kind to vessels. <P>SOLUTION: The blood is brought into contact with a specified polymeric material, thereby increasing the rates of CD34<SP>+</SP>cells and VE-cadherin<SP>+</SP>cells where a CD34 antigen being an EPC marker and VE-cadherin appear on cellular surfaces. That is, the EPCs are stimulated and differentiate into vascular endothelial cells, so as to repair the damage of the vessel. Then, the blood purifying method is provided, which is gentle to vessels.
