<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens capable of reducing luminance unevenness or color unevenness by efficiently subjecting light rays from a light source to color mixture, and to provide a light source unit, a backlight apparatus and a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The lens 1 has an incident side surface 1a which is concave, a light guide part 1b through which light made incident from the incident side surface 1a passes, and an emitting side surface 1c from which the light is emitted. The incident side surface 1a, the light guide part 1b and the emitting side surface 1c are provided in substantially fixed shape in a length direction of the lens 1. The incident side surface 1a has a plane part 1d opposed to the block of an LED 7. A portion having an optical function for scattering or diffusing light from the LED block 3 is provided on the plane part 1d.
