IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE DIAGNOSTIC DEVICE, AND INTERPOLATION IMAGE GENERATING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a three-dimensional image without losing the connectedness in the same structure.

SOLUTION: A cross-sectional area extracting part 181 extracts cross-sectional areas of a region from at least two tomographic images among different tomographic images in which the same region is captured. A temperature distribution image generating part 183 generates a temperature distribution image indicating the state of disposition of the region between the cross-sectional areas by deriving a solution to a thermal equation based on the information on the extracted cross-sectional areas. Then, an interpolation image generating part 184 generates an interpolation image including the cross-sectional areas to complement the space between the cross-sectional areas included in the tomographic images based on the temperature distribution image.
