PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein lateral blades tend to be ventilation resistance and also tend to decrease the effect of changing the direction of air. SOLUTION: A body 1 of the air conditioner includes: an intake port 10; a heat exchanger 2; a blowing fan 3 for taking the air in a room from the intake port 10 and blowing out the air heat exchanged by the heat exchanger 2 from a blow out port 11; a blowing circuit 13 including a stabilizer 4, a rear guider 5 and a side wall 12 and communicating the blowing fan 3 to the blow out port 11; and a vertical blade 6 having a substantially arcuate section and controlling the vertical direction of the air blown out from the blow out port 11, wherein the lateral blades 7a, 7b for controlling the lateral direction are provided in the blowing circuit 13 and the vertical blade 6, respectively, whereby an air current can be smoothly and effectively blown by the windward lateral blade 7a in the upstream part and the leeward lateral blade 7b in the downstream part.
