PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To indicate adequate gear shift to a driver in response to a condition of a vehicle. SOLUTION: An ECU executes a program including: a step S206 for starting a timer when gear shift operation is completed (YES in S204) after downshift is performed (YES in S202); a step S220 for setting a timer value D when the downshift is requested (NO in S208, YES in S218); and a step for executing lighting control when a time corresponding to the timer value D passes (YES in S222) and lighting conditions of a downshift indication lamp are established (YES in S224).
