摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain measuring device and measuring method for a FBG sensor which performs temperature compensation. SOLUTION: The strain measuring device comprises an optical fiber 2 in which an FBG sensor 1 is placed, a wideband light source 3 including Bragg wavelength range of the FBG sensor 1, a light circulator 4 for separating a reflected light, and a processing means 5 for processing the reflected light. The processing means 5 acquires time history data of a shifting amount of Bragg wavelength of the reflected light, that is generated by both of a strain and a temperature change, calculates from the time history data a long-time moving average amount of Bragg wavelength to determine an amount of change of Bragg wavelength that corresponds to the temperature change, and deducts the amount of change of Bragg wavelength corresponding to the temperature change from the time history of Bragg wavelength of the reflected light. The device is constructed such that it measures a strain that is subjected to a temperature compensation with the FBG sensor 1 for measuring both of the strain and the temperature change without using an FBG sensor 1 for measuring only the amount of change of Bragg wavelength corresponding to the temperature change.
